ATTENTION SENIORS!!!
Your dues are being paid by the district. Please do not send dues to school. Refunds are being issued to those who have already paid.
Awards Ceremony/Prom Promise
This is the morning of prom in the auditorium. Awards begin at 8:15. Prom Promise will begin at 9:00 and run until 11:00.
Seniors will be released at 11:00.
PROM
Prom is May 21st from 8:00-11:00 p.m. at John S. Knight in downtown. There is no cost to you for yourself or your date. Your date can come from outside of Firestone High School. Details to follow.
Tickets are being distributed on May 17th, 18th, and 19th during the lunch periods.
Each senior gets one ticket and can bring one guest. Guests from outside of Firestone High School must have a guest form.
GRADUATION
May 24th Cap/Gown pick up from 10:00-2:00 in the Commons at school. Turn in chrome books and take care of books that need turned in at this time.
May 26th at John S. Knight Center
Rehearsal is 8:00-9:30 for A-L
Rehearsal is 10:30-12:00 for M-Z
Ceremony for A-L is at 2:00 Grads check in at 1:00
Ceremony for M-Z is at 6:00 Grads check in at 5:00
Families can enter 1/2 hour before the ceremony.
6 Tickets per family and seating will be in pods of 6.
Tickets will be handed out at the rehearsal.

8:30 a.m. The Awards Assembly will take place in the Auditorium. Recommended attire is “dressy” as appropriate for an awards program. The program will begin at 8:30 a.m. Parents and family are permitted to attend. Prom Promise!

8:15-10:30 a.m. Prom Promise is mandatory for all seniors attending prom. Underclassmen attending prom do not attend. This is also the last chance to pick up prom tickets and after prom tickets. May 22, 2020
Greystone - 103 S. High Street, Akron, OH 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. - ticket required; formal occasion; music, snacks, favor for each senior; tuxedos are optional, but, coat & tie are required. Dresses and gowns should cover the midriff area. Attendance at prom is not mandatory. AFTER PROM After Prom is at the University of Akron Rec Center. All seniors and guests will need a signed waiver form to attend. DETAILS: It is not necessary to attend the Prom in order to attend the After Prom. Akron University: 11:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.; free admission for seniors (tickets for guests are $15.00). Casino - Black Jack, Beat the Dealer; win play money. Music DJ, Line dancing, inflatables, swimming, rock climbing and racquetball. Fabulous Prizes….. Food - pizza, munchies, pop. After Prom is not sponsored by Firestone CLC, but organized for your enjoyment by parents of the After Prom Committee. Thank you’s to the After-Prom Committee. REHEARSAL:

May 21, 2021 Tickets Tickets are included in the Senior Dues. The senior ticket is $50 and includes the party favor of a t-shirt with the prom theme. Students will not pick up tickets until the week of prom. Senior tickets are purchased in advance in the dues. Guest tickets are purchased the week of prom. No tickets will be sold after 10:30 on the morning of Prom. *************************************** Seniors who do not have the senior dues paid may not purchase a prom ticket. ************************************** Food There is food at prom but it is not a sit down dinner. There will be a chocolate bar, pizza bar, nacho bar, lemonade, punch, and water. Dates/Guests There are no guest forms for prom. Non-Firestone/Non-senior guest tickets are $50 They will not receive the shirt. Seniors must arrive with the guest they purchased a ticket for and tickets will be checked at the door. ******************************* AFTER PROM TICKETS After Prom tickets are picked up and purchased during the week of prom. The senior ticket is free. Guests are $15. All attendees at After Prom must have a signed waiver form to attend. This is University of Akron policy. DATE: June 2, 2020
TIME: 7:00 PM LOCATION: E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall at the University of Akron. REHEARSAL: There is a mandatory rehearsal for graduation: June 2, 2020 8:15 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. E.J. Thomas Hall Students who arrive late or do not attend will not participate in the ceremony. TICKETS Tickets are required by all guests for entrance into the Commencement ceremony. A graduation announcement is not a graduation ticket. Each senior will be allotted six free tickets. Attendance by infants and small children is discouraged. Seating is limited. Tickets will be handed out on the morning of rehearsal. Extra Tickets: See information below. PROCEDURES FOR SENIORS! Seniors are expected no later than 6:15 pm. Commencement will begin promptly at 7:00 pm. Each senior will report to his/her designated area. There, seniors will put on their caps and gowns and make last minute adjustments. It is strongly advised to leave cell phones and valuables at home. There will not be any place to lock up personal items. PICTURES Carmen Studios will photograph each graduate shaking hands with the principal/and/or Board member. These pictures will then be available for sale to seniors. Carmen Studios will contact each senior by mail. Order and pay in advance. It is suggested that individual, personal photographs be taken at home or after the ceremony. This will eliminate much commotion and obscured viewing during the ceremony and will do much to ensure that each individual graduate is properly recognized. ATTIRE Ladies-a dress or skirt, light or solid color-dress shoes-no long dresses or skirts. NO FLIP FLOPS PERMITTED. Gentlemen-light colored shirt-dark dress slacks-necktie-dress shoes-no jeans or sneakers. No jewelry, flowers, or other adornments are permitted or appropriate on the academic gowns or caps. Ladies are to disregard the white collar. Caps are worn parallel to the ground, the tassel to the left. The longer, pointed side of the hat goes in the back. Extra Tickets for Graduation!!!

SENIORS DUES!
Senior Dues must be paid in person in the form of cash or money order made out to Firestone High School.
All information in regard to dues is found on in the attached file below which was handed out to Seniors on September 24th. General Fee: $50 Mandatory This includes paying for the Halloween Dance, Senior Breakfast, Picnic, Awards, Supplies, Graduation venue, flowers, and other expenses. Prom Ticket: $50 Only if attending Prom This includes the cost of the venue, DJ, tickets printed, decor, t-shirt. Dues Deadlines: 50% of the Senior Dues must be paid by December 15th Dues must be paid in full by March 24th ***Deadline will be extended.*** Any dues paid after will result in a $10 late fee. Prom tickets must be purchased by April 18th or there will be a late fee of $10. Students who purchase a prom ticket after April 18, 2019 will not receive the Prom T-Shirt.
